However, when it comes the user preference, Cialis is a big winner simply because you don’t have to time it right before sex. You can take it in the morning and it’s in your system for a couple of days. So, you’re ready to go the entire time. However, keep in mind that Cialis is also SLOW to act and it does take a couple of hours to kick in, while Viagra takes only about 20-30 minutes. Sex Is Expensive Now, what’s crazy is that Cialis costs about $60 a pill. But hey, that’s cheaper than Viagra’s almost $75 a pill price.1.2 But, I get it. When a man can’t perform, he’ll do almost anything to make “it” work. And yes, there are generic versions you can buy overseas which costs less, but they are typically under dosed or faked. You could lose your money and never get your order. You’re also at risk with legal issues with the DEA, Customs, FDA and so forth. But, who cares… anything to get an erection, right?... The Side-Effects Unfortunately, Cialis has bunch of negative side-effects… similar to Viagra, such as: Headaches Vision problems Insomnia Back pain Sinus and nose problems Nausea and stomach issues Blood pressure issues Heart and stroke problems Liver and kidney issues But for sex, I think most guys will put up with these side-effects. … at least temporarily. Unfortunately, there are 3 main problems with Cialis and how well it works or doesn’t work Cialis doesn’t work in about 40-50% of users… and I’ll tell you why in a minute and how this can be fixed.7 … Sadly, it works even LESS in men with diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol or high blood pressure Cialis doesn’t work as well in “older” men over the age of 40. Ironically, it works better and has less side-effects in younger guys who don’t really need it. I’ll also tell you how this can be fixed in a minute. Your body adapts to Cialis and it doesn’t work as well over time. The more you use it, the less it works. So if you’re a younger guy using it now, you’re going to have a big problem later on in life. This simple exercise will also help avoid the embarrasing “premature ejeculation”, allowing you to statisfy your parter, better and long than ever before. If you’ve been following my work and watching my videos, you would know that certain exercises can either increase or decrease your libido, erection strength, hardness and even size, because of hormonal changes. If you didn’t already know, testosterone is the primary hormone that increases your libido, sex drive and “muscle size”. Unfortunately, this hormone starts to decrease around the age of 25. However, certain exercises can increase your decrease your testosterone. For example, doing too much cardiovascular exercise - like running, jogging, etc. can decrease your testosterone because of the increase in your stress hormone, cortisol. TWO things you do NOT want to do. One of the best forms of exercise for increasing your testosterone is lifting weights. However, too much of that isn’t good either. About 3-4x weekly, no more than an hour is just the right amount to increase your testosterone and help improve your libido and sex drive. The Non-Exercise, Exercise However, today I’m NOT going to discuss anything about lifting weights, cardio, etc. I’ve done that in the past. What I want to talk about is a very simple “non-exercise”, exercise... that you can do RIGHT NOW, while watching this video and that’s called, the Kegel Exercise. I call this the “non-exercise” exercise because it requires no gym, equipment or even real movement. Now, some of you may have heard of this. Unfortunately most do it incorrectly. Kegel exercises are done to strengthen the perineal muscles. To “flex” this muscle, it’s very simple. One way to describe how to do it is, by contracting your anus muscle, as if you’re trying to hold in gas. Go ahead and give it a try now... Another way to do it is stop peeing midway through. Thus, as you’re peeing, “contract the muscle” that will STOP the pee, midway through. That’s it - that’s a kegel exercise. Super simple, but extremely effective. You can literally do it anywhere, anytime and nobody would know. Sets & Reps You should do kegel’s about 3x a week to start with. Over time, slowly build up to 5x weekly. Just don’t do it every single day because like any muscle, it requires rest to gain strength. Contract the muscle (holding in gas or stop peeing) and hold for 3-5 seconds. Relax for 1-2 seconds. That’s ONE repetition Do this 10 of these, for 10 repetitions. That’s ONE set Do one set of 10 repetitions, 3x weekly. Then maybe the next week do 2 sets of 10 reps and work up to 3 sets of 10 reps, 3x weekly. You can do it all at once, or break it up 2-3x daily. Nothing it set in stone. What matters is consistency, persistence and patience. Benefits There lots of benefits when this muscle is strong Stronger, full erections Last longer, more stamina and the prevention of premature ejeculation. Stronger orgasms. Healthier prostate. Improvement for those who have overactive bladder or urinary incontinence. How To Improve Results Of course, doing the right exercises is a great start. However, the bottom line is that you need to have optimal levels of your anti-aging, “pro-sexual” hormones such as total and free testosterone levels. In that video I explained what to eat and I quickly mentioned how you should NOT eat peanuts. I’ve actually mentioned this in a couple of other videos. Well, I got lots of questions as to why this is and how can peanuts be bad for you, since they have good fat, lots of protein, vitamins and minerals. And this is a fair question and let me answer it quickly. To begin with, peanuts are not “nuts”, they are legumes and thus, part of the “bean” family. Most people don’t know this. As to why you should avoid peanuts, there are few important reasons. ALLERGIES To begin with, some people are deathly allergic to peanuts. For a small percentage of the population, peanuts can literally kill them. (1). Of course, the majority of people aren’t AS allergic to peanuts, but if you ate enough of them, long enough, the allergens start to build up and you WILL have allergic reactions, even if they are mild and subtle. It won’t kill you, but it won’t improve your health either. Macronutrients The next thing is that people will say that peanuts are a healthy food because it has carbs, proteins and fats. But the protein doesn’t contain all the essential amino acids. The next problem is the fat content - it’s fairly high in Omega 6 fats and linoleic acid. Omega 6 fats cause inflammation and many diseases - heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, fat gain, cancer, autoimmune diseases, etc. They also compete with the healthy, omega 3 fats - which is NOT what you want. Aflatoxins Most people don’t know, but peanuts actually grow underground, where they tend to be colonized by a fungus called Aspergillus, a source of aflatoxins... which are toxic and highly carcinogenic (cancer causing). Humans are actually fairly resistant to the acute (short-term) effects of aflatoxins, but unfortunately continued exposure does cause a buildup. Additionally, fungus grows on its own and thus, even if you stop eating peanuts the fungus continues to grow inside of you and over time becomes toxic. Studies in humans link aflatoxin exposure to liver cancer, stunted growth in children and mental retardation (8, 9, 10, 11). This is very important for all your parents giving your kids peanut butter daily. I suggest you STOP! High In Lectins Peanuts are also high in Lectins, which is bad for your health -- Again, causing all the typical problems of diseases, inflammation, weight gain, memory problems, joint pain, diabetes, etc., etc. Healthy Alternatives Peanuts and nuts taste yummy, there’s no denying that. Especially when roasted and lightly salted. And in small amounts, eaten occasionally - they should be fine for most people. However, I suggest you switch to other nuts, especially if you are giving your kids peanut butter. Instead, eat Almond butter Walnut butter Hazelnut butter These are much healthier nuts and still taste great. ======================================== ========================================­ Thank you for watching. The good news is that it’s never too late to eat a healthier diet. Just as years of bad eating can damage your body, good eating can help heal it and it can happen quickly. Add more “healthy” fats to your diet. These are typically mono and poly unsaturated fats. They’re found in foods like olives, raw seeds and nuts, avocados, and fish. These should be RAW and uncooked. Eliminate “unhealthy” and artificial sources of trans fats. Most artificial trans fats are found in processed, packaged foods like cookies and snack cakes. These have been heated and are hydrogenated. They are also high in omega 6 fats, which causes inflammation. Even regular so-called “healthy” oils like canola, cause inflammation. Increase your fiber intake. Soluble fiber helps prevent and remove plaque buildup. You can find soluble fiber in foods like vegetables, lentils, beans, and oats. I would also add in fiber supplements as well, especially if you have a hard time getting it all from food. Cut back on sugar. The sugar found in processed foods like cookies, ice cream, and sugar-sweetened beverages has no nutritional value. Unfortunately, sugar is hidden in almost all “man-made” foods. They increase your blood sugar levels... Which when combined with the unhealthy fats, clogs your arteries and reduces blood flow. 2 -- Exercise First, we all need to move more. All we tend to do is sit all day long -- computer, phone, driving, eating, work, etc. The reason exercise is important is because it helps improve your youth hormones, which then helps your body naturally get rid of toxins - this includes plaque. You should lift weights and do cardio - both are needed. And in my opinion, “resistance exercise” is more important than cardiovascular. This means lifting weights - which can be with free weights, machines, cables or simply your own bodyweight. And if you workout quickly, it will also give you a very strong cardiovascular workout at the same time. You only need 3x weekly and I would add in daily walking as well. 3 -- Take Specific Supplements Taking specific herbs, vitamins and minerals that are clinically proven to help your improve blood flow and circulation, will give you the biggest and fastest improvements in preventing AND removing plaque buildup. And thus, improving blood flow to your penis for better, fuller and bigger erections. I’ve taken a few supplements that increase my testosterone levels. Most didn’t do anything and the ones that did, just stopped working after like a week or two. And then I increased the dosage and then things seem to get worse. When I got off of the various “testosterone boosting supplements”, my situation was even WORSE. I was losing hair, my libido was the lowest it’s been ever and I’m tired all day long. What am I doing wrong?... I thought increasing my testosterone will fix these problems but it’s made it worse.” This is a very common situation I hear all the time. The problem is that you can’t ONLY try and increase your testosterone. Your body will quickly adapt by changing around your other hormones, especially if you’re over the age of 30 and certainly in your 40’s a beyond. For example, let’s say some herb or supplement increases your testosterone… soon your body will adapt by increasing SHBG. This will then LOWER your “free testosterone”, which does all the good stuff. The next problem is that the increase in testosterone, will convert more to estrogen and other female hormones such as Prolactin. This will now tell your brain and then your testicles to LOWER testosterone… because as estrogen goes up, testosterone goes down. The next problem is that the extra testosterone also converts to DHT - the balding and prostate hormone. And this, just like estrogen, will LOWER testosterone. I’ve read mixed information and I think I’m doing something wrong because I’m not gaining any muscle, my belly looks fatter and worst of all, my sex drive is worse and it’s causing problems with my girlfriend. I’ve watched so many of your videos and I’ve applied your advice. I’ve gotten great results with my health. However, I don’t think you’ve ever answers this topic - Please help me Dr. Sam” Actually, I have addressed this question in the past, but not in detail or directly and that’s why I’m bringing this up today. And the truth is that I get a lot of questions about this topic. So the fact is that exercise can increase OR decrease your testosterone levels. It all depends on what you do, when, where, how often and for how long. And thus, you can gain OR lose muscle. Decrease OR increase belly fat. Gain OR lose strength. Increase OR decrease your energy levels. Improve or decline immune system. And you can increase or decrease your sex drive, libido and happiness. When I was younger, I would exercise 5-6x weekly. I would work out for at least an hour. I would lift heavy weights, I’d push hard and go to “failure” on all my exercises. I would also do cardio almost daily - for at least 30 minutes or more. Typically it was the bike, jogging, stairmaster, etc. It was a hard workout and I would always leave the gym feeling exhausted. However, I felt like I had a good, “honest” workout because I gave it my all and pushed as much as I can. I did this for years… The end result - sadly, I looked the same all the time!... I always seemed like I had a cold and I’d get sick often. I never had any energy to do much else -- I was just tired from my workouts. The end result is I looked “skinny-fat”. You know, not muscular or “lean”. It just didn’t look good. I was “puffy” and “squishy” all the time. And sadly, my sex drive was kinda “blah”. Granted, because I was YOUNG, it was still “okay”. However, compared to my friends - it was much lower. Then one day I decided to do a hormone test because I was just curious. Well, guess what -- my testosterone levels were low. Worst of all, my “negative” hormones were “high”... Thus, my hormones were not good, not optimal -- definitely not for a 23 year old man. ...When things should have been much better and I should have had super high testosterone levels. I realized then that without the right hormones - it doesn’t matter what you do, how much you exercise or what you eat -- you’re screwed! This is why steroids are so powerful. They give you “optimal” levels. However, you can make your own“natural steroids” from within, and not have any of the negative side-effects … IF you know what to do and more importantly, what NOT to do. So what does all of this have to do with the original topic of “exercise and increasing or decreasing your testosterone levels”?... Here’s the basic “short cuts” on the “do’s” and “don’ts” DO Lift weights! Keep your workouts short, 45 minutes or less. Workout no more than 4x weekly. Do one workout with heavier weights and lower reps - about 8-10 repetitions. And the next workout higher, about 12-15 reps. One week out of every month, reduce your sets and have easier workouts. DON’TS Eliminate or limit stressful cardio. This means no running, jogging, biking, etc. These all decrease your testosterone and increase stress hormones. Don’t kill yourself every workout, go to failure, pushing hard, etc. When you are “natural” and have “regular” genetics, you can’t push so much, so often… When I ask most people “what’s the opposite of testosterone”, people typically reply back with “estrogen”, the female hormone. However, this is not true. Actually, the opposite of testosterone is the stress hormone, cortisol. Cortisol does the opposite of testosterone. It decreases muscle and strength, increases belly fat, makes you tired and kills your sex drive. Unfortunately, many factors REDUCE insulin sensitivity: Aging Prescription drugs and weaker liver Higher body fat Less muscle mass Eating the wrong foods and not enough of the right ones Stress (worry, lack of sleep, etc.) So here are 5 simple things you can do, to improve insulin sensitivity and turn the food you eat into muscle and NOT fat. Proper Macronutrient Timing Proteins, fats and carbs are “macronutrients”. By eating them at the correct times, you can quickly increase insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar spikes. EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE: Now, there’s an exception to this rule. The ONE time you should eat carbs first is the meal right after your workout. In fact, your “post workout meal” should consist of only carbs and protein -- no fats, vegetables or fiber. After your workout you WANT an insulin spike to quickly feed your muscles and lower “catabolic” stress hormones such as Cortisol. The cool part is after exercise, your muscle cells are super sensitive to insulin and thus, the food will automatically go right to the muscles, instead of the fat cells. Eat Fiber Taking fiber supplements also helps improve insulin sensitivity. Studies have shown that taking fiber supplements such as Psyllium husk, 2-3x daily, lowers blood sugar by up to 20% and it lasts the entire day. There are also fat and carbohydrate blocking “super fibers” such as Chitosan, Kidney Bean extract, Glucomannan and similar ingredients that also BLOCK the absorption of sugars, fats and carbs - so weight loss happens even faster. Exercise Often Another way to increase insulin sensitivity is to exercise often, but keep the workouts really short, 45 minutes or less. In fact, exercising 20 minutes, 2x daily or 15 min 3x daily works even better. Every time you exercise, you improve insulin sensitivity. Of course, most of us don’t have time to go to the gym or exercise multiple times a day or even have the desire. However, taking a brisk walk for only 10 minutes after each meal, 3x daily is clinically proven to dramatically improve insulin sensitivity AND lower stress hormones. There are several mechanisms involved in regulating human sexual functioning. Evolutionary psychology provides deeper insights in understanding why some of these mechanisms dysfunction. Menelaos Apostolou, a world-renowned evolutionary psychologist and expert in human mating, was on the stage of TEDx University of Nicosia to give us his insights on the role evolutionary psychology plays in sexual functioning. Menelaos Apostolou was born in Athens, Greece. He moved to the United Kingdom to study at the University of Lancaster and later pursued post-graduate studies at the University of Warwick. During his Ph.D. research he conducted original work in the area of parent-offspring conflict over mating. After completing his studies he moved to Cyprus where he is now an Assistant Professor in Psychology at the University of Nicosia. The focus of his research is the use of evolutionary theory in understanding human behavior, an endeavor known as evolutionary psychology. Apart from psychology he has made contributions in other fields, including family science, evolutionary theory, anthropology and behavioral economics. This is an interesting question because growing up, I was told to not lift weights because it would make me short. In fact, I was told to “play basketball” if I want to grow up tall. And, not to play soccer either, since that’ll also make me short. Of course, this is just idiotic and stupid. Playing basketball doesn’t make you tall - It just happens that TALL people play basketball. And playing soccer doesn’t make you short either -- it just happens that “shorter” people tend to play soccer. And similar to lifting weights, most “muscular” people are shorter simply because they don’t need to gain as much muscle to look big… Versus someone like me who is 6’3”, I need to gain a lot of muscle to fill out my large frame. So it’s a lot more work for me. However, certain exercises can cause damage to your spine, not allowing you to get as tall as you could. Additionally, some exercises CAN actually improve your height, make your shoulders and rib cage bigger, if you do them during puberty and up to the age of maybe 21-23 or so. And I’ll get to the exercises in a minute. However, genetics aside, the secret to getting taller is to lower your estrogen and increase your testosterone and GH/IGF levels at the same time. You see, estrogen fuses the end of the bones and thus, prevents them from growing. This is why girls are actually taller than boys when everyone first starts puberty … But after about a year or two of puberty, once estrogen shoots up, the ends of the bones “fuse” and growth and height slows down dramatically. Yet, the boys keep getting taller and taller , slowly… because they don’t have as much estrogen and have higher testosterone. And when you have a lot more growth hormone and IGF, your bones will keep growing because the ends haven’t “fused” yet because of the high estrogen. And this is why women who typically have naturally big breasts, are shorter. While taller women generally have smaller breasts -- again, due to estrogen. And you’ve probably heard the saying about guys who are “short, fat, bald and hairy”. Well, the “short and fat” is due to higher estrogen and the “bald and hairy” is due to higher DHT levels. And in both of these cases, these men also have LOWER testosterone levels. However, all of this only matters if you’re under the age of 23 and are still going through puberty. And yes, genetics does play the biggest role here - however, if done correctly, you can “naturally” grow an extra 2-4 inches or more. And yes, I’ve seen this happen many times. Now, regarding the exercises that can potentially keep you shorter -- don’t do anything that compresses the spine. This means no squats, overhead presses, deadlifts, shrugs and similar exercises. Instead, focus on doing pull ups and “chins”. Not machine pull-downs. You want to pull yourself up and at the bottom, hang for 2 seconds. This makes your shoulders wider by stretching out your scapula and decompress your spine, which will help accelerate growth for your nerves, CNS and bone growth. Of course there are diet factors as well, but that’s for another video. Just do your best to eat as natural as possible and eliminate any foods that can increase your estrogen and decrease your testosterone. #muscle, #weightlifting ======================================== ========================================­ Thank you for watching. I’m lean, but I always look “soft” and “flat”. Nothing “pops” like it does with the fitness and bodybuilder guys you see in the magazines, movies and online” Harder, Fuller, Vascular Muscles However, there are some “secrets” or proven tactics to getting harder, fuller, vascular/veiny looking muscles and I’ll reveal them today. Tip #1 - Leaner Is Better What’s important to note is that I’m 6’3”, but only weight 200 lbs. So I give the ILLUSION of “looking” bigger because I’m lean and under 10% body fat. So, that’s the first secret - you have to get lean. When you’re lean, you’ll have more muscle separation, you’ll have more veins and thus, your muscles will “pop” more because they’re not hiding under a layer of fat. Tip #2 - Hydrate Normally I’m fuller than these pictures and more vascular as the day progresses because I’ve had a lot more water, electrolytes, carbohydrates, food and minerals. These pictures were taken first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach with very little water, so I was “flat”, rather than being “full”. This is one problem with people who are always on a low-carb diet (ketogenic, paleo, intermittent fasting, etc.) . They look flat and depleted, even when they are lean. Carbs help fill out your muscles because they hold 3x their weight in water. When your muscles are hydrated, you’ll look fuller, bigger and harder.. And your blood volume will also be higher and thus, you’ll be more vascular too. HOWEVER, I put Himalayan or Celtic salt in my water and on my food. This keeps me hydrated and that’s the secret. My workouts are a lot better too. I’m stronger and I get better pumps. However, REAL salt does the opposite - it retains the water in your muscles, not under the skin. Tip #3 - Improve Insulin Sensitivity The problem with having carbs is NOT higher blood sugar, but poor insulin sensitivity. In fact, the more muscle you have and the lower your body fat, the better your insulin sensitivity, the MORE carbs you can eat, the easier it is to gain muscle and lose fat. More salt and water will also help improve insulin sensitivity, so keep doing that. Better sleep, has lots of benefits, including better insulin sensitivity as well. Tip #4 - Specific Workouts How you exercise, what you do, how often all can make a huge difference in how you look. First, you need to lift heavier weights to create a more dense, harder looking muscle. Do sets at 6-8 reps to hit your fast-twitch muscles, as well as higher 10-15 reps. Both are needed. Secondly, exercising too much, too often, too long causes stress hormones such as cortisol and aldosterone to go up, while also DECREASING insulin sensitivity and testosterone levels. The end result not only will you start to lose muscle and also gain fat, but your muscles will be depleted, flat and “stringy” looking. This gives that “skinny/fat” look, rather than “lean/hard” look. So I suggest lifting weights for about 45 min, no more than an hour, 3-4x weekly or every-other-day. Tip #5 - Improve Your Hormones Because my background as a doctor is in endocrinology - the study of hormones, this is an area I’m most passionate about. This is why steroids work so well, not only in building muscle and losing fat, but making you look harder, fuller and more vascular. However, simply optimizing your own hormones naturally, will go a long way in making improvements in how you look, feel and perform. This is how I do it because it’s so much safer, healthier, easier to maintain and you won’t have any of the negative side-effects (hair loss, zits, man-boobs, high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc.) This means higher “positive” hormones - such as Testosterone, GH, IGF, DHEA, etc., while minimizing “negative” hormones such as estrogen, prolactin, cortisol, DHT, etc. #muscle #weightlifting #vascularity ======================================== ========================================­ Thank you for watching. The approach has since then been popularized in Don Campbell's book, “The Mozart Effect”, which is based on an experiment suggesting that listening to Mozart temporarily boosted scores on one portion of the IQ test. Hence the idea that “listening to Mozart makes you smarter” and that if children or even babies listen to Mozart they will become more intelligent. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical era. Born in Salzburg, he showed prodigious ability from his earliest childhood. Already competent on keyboard and violin, he composed from the age of five and performed before European royalty. At 17, Mozart was engaged as a musician at the Salzburg court, but grew restless and traveled in search of a better position. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was dismissed from his Salzburg position. He chose to stay in the capital, where he achieved fame but little financial security. During his final years in Vienna, he composed many of his best-known symphonies, concertos, operas, and portions of the Requiem, which was largely unfinished at the time of his death. He wrote more than 600 works, many acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, concertante, chamber, operatic, and choral music. He is among the most enduringly popular of classical composers, and his influence is profound on subsequent Western art music. Ludwig van Beethoven composed his own early works in the shadow of Mozart, and Joseph Haydn wrote: "Posterity will not see such a talent again in 100 years". Monounsaturated Fats Monounsaturated fats, more specifically extra virgin Macadamia Nut and Olive Oil are great for your health. They improve blood flow and reduce the formation of varicose veins. They also help improve cholesterol levels, while improving HDL/LDL ratios. They contain powerful antioxidants and Olive oil also contains polyphenols -- all of this helps improve blood flow and arterial health. They also help dilate the veins and arteries, which helps reduce blood pressure. The one thing to remember is that you should NOT cook with Olive oil, it shouldn’t be heated because it changes the structure of the fat. So, use it on top of salad or vegetables. However, you can cook with Macadamia nut oil, it has a higher heat and smoke tolerance. Personally, I don’t suggest you cook with either - raw is best. But you can cook with the next fat and that’s: Coconut Oil One main benefit with extra virgin coconut oil is that you can cook with it because it’s a saturated fat. But don’t worry, it’s not bad for your cholesterol. But I’ll get that in a minute. Coconut oil is very beneficial for improving blood circulation. It has healthy fats and contains medium-chain triglycerides (MCT oil) that help relieve inflammation of the arteries. This in turn improves blood flow throughout the body. Coconut oil has many additional health benefits - it improves your metabolism, it’s good for your brain and memory, boosts your immune system, reduces candida and yeast, good for gut health and great for your skin and hair. Now, some people are afraid to eat this fat because it’s primarily a “saturated” fat, even though it has no cholesterol. The truth is that it increases your “good” HDL cholesterol. And yes, it does increase the “bad” LDL, but it increases the SIZE of them which is a good thing. Smaller, LDL particles is the real problem. They consist of healthy polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats which help improve your cholesterol levels. Almonds have magnesium, which helps relax your arteries.
