Contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org At the College of Charleston, we feel strongly that diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences are integral parts of a liberal arts education. We attract international students from all over the world and offer a lively mix of cultural exchange both in and out of the classroom. You'll study in the heart of one of the most historic cities in the United States, and one that — because it is located in a major East Coast seaport — has a decidedly European and cosmopolitan feel. International students follow the same application process as domestic students, with a few additional requirements. In this section you'll find information on what you need to submit with your application. Be sure to plan ahead for our admissions deadlines. If you've taken classes at post-secondary institutions abroad or your secondary education included a 13th year, there is a process for having your coursework considered for transfer credit at the College of Charleston. Credit is awarded for exams such as Cambridge A Level, IB, and AP. Once you have been accepted and have confirmed your enrollment, our Center for International Education will issue a Form I-20 so that you can apply for a U.S. student visa. You will find information about U.S. immigration policies at the International Student Resource Center website. In addition, the English Language Institute is designed to enhance your English language skills needed in academic, professional and social settings.
