Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in the Universal City community of the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California, United States. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios still in use. Its official marketing headline is "The Entertainment Capital of LA". It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios sets and is the first of many full-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks located across the world. Woody Woodpecker is the mascot for Universal Studios Hollywood. Outside the theme park, a new, all-digital facility near the Universal Studios backlot was built in an effort to merge all of NBCUniversal's West Coast operations into one area. As a result, the current home for KNBC, KVEA and NBC News with Telemundo Los Angeles Bureaus with new digital facility is on the Universal lot formerly occupied by Technicolor SA. Universal City includes hotels Universal Hilton & Towers, the Sheraton Universal Hotel, the multi-screen Globe Theatre, often used for banquets and receptions and Universal CityWalk, which offers a collection of shops and restaurants. In 2013, the park hosted 6,148,000 guests, placing it 17th in the world and 9th among North American parks. Source: Wikipedia

Driving Downtown - LA's Skyscrapers 4K - Los Angeles USA

12:07
Driving Downtown Streets - Wilshire Boulevard - Los Angeles California USA - Episode 96. Starting Point: Wilshire Boulevard https://goo.gl/maps/91ynhWaRo862 . Wilshire Boulevard is a densely developed street throughout most of its span, connecting five of Los Angeles's major business districts to each other, as well as Beverly Hills. Many of the post-1956 skyscrapers in Los Angeles are located along Wilshire; for example, One Wilshire, built in 1966 at the junction of Wilshire and Grand, is said to be "...the main hub of the internet for the entire Pacific Rim" due to the large concentration of telecommunications companies renting space there. Aon Center, at one point Los Angeles' largest (and presently second-largest) tower, is at 707 Wilshire Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles. Wilshire Boulevard is one of the principal east-west roads in Los Angeles, California, extending from Santa Monica to Grand Avenue in the Financial District of downtown Los Angeles. One particularly famous stretch of the boulevard between Fairfax and Highland Avenues is known as the Miracle Mile. Many of Los Angeles' largest museums are located there. The area just to the east of that, between Highland Avenue and Wilton Place, is referred to as the "Park Mile". Between Westwood and Holmby Hills, several tall glitzy condominium buildings overlook this part of Wilshire, giving it the title of Millionaire's Mile. This section is also known as the Wilshire Corridor and Condo Canyon. The Wilshire Corridor, located next to Century City, is one of Los Angeles' busiest districts, and contains many high-rise residential towers. The Fox and MGM studios are located in a series of skyscrapers, along with many historic Los Angeles hotels. Wilshire Boulevard is also the principal street of Koreatown, the site of many of Los Angeles' oldest buildings, as well as skyscrapers. Koreatown and Mid-Wilshire are among Los Angeles' most densely populated districts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilshire_Boulevard Los Angeles, officially the City of Los Angeles and often known by its initials L.A., is the second-most populous city (over 18 million) in the United States (after New York City), the most populous city in California. We produced this short film to show what it is like to be a part of The Mama Circle, and what it is like to be a client of founder Erica Chidi Cohen's. We incorporated The Mama Circle's fresh and inspired branding and Venice vibe into the film, which is made up of mostly testimonials from mothers who have also worked with Erica in her capacity as a doula. We are proud to use #musicwithheart from independent artists throughout the world. Video production in Los Angeles by Ezra Productions (www.ezraproductions.com).

Los Angeles lies in a large coastal basin surrounded on three sides by mountains reaching up to and over 10,000 feet. Nicknamed the "City of Angels", Los Angeles is a global city with a diverse economy in entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine and research. The city is one of the most substantial economic engines within the United States. The area economy is the third-largest in the world, after the Greater Tokyo and New York metropolitan areas. Los Angeles includes Hollywood and leads the world in the creation of television productions and recorded music; it is also one of the leaders in motion picture production. L.A. hosted the Summer Olympic Games in 1932 and 1984 and is bidding to host the 2024 Summer Olympics and thus become the second city to have hosted the Games three times (after London). Economy The economy of Los Angeles is driven by international trade, entertainment (television, motion pictures, video games, music recording, and production), aerospace, technology, petroleum, fashion, apparel, and tourism. Other significant industries include finance, telecommunications, law, healthcare, and transportation. Three of the six major film studios—Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, and Universal Pictures—are located within the city limits. Los Angeles is the largest manufacturing center in the western United States. Race and Ethnicity Los Angeles is home to people from more than 140 countries speaking 224 different identified languages. Ethnic enclaves like Chinatown, Historic Filipinotown, Koreatown, Little Armenia, Little Ethiopia, Tehrangeles, Little Tokyo, Little Bangladesh and Thai Town provide examples of the polyglot character of Los Angeles. Culture Los Angeles is often billed as the "Creative Capital of the World", because one in every six of its residents works in a creative industry and there are more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city at any time in history. Movies and the Performing Arts The city's Hollywood neighborhood has become recognized as the center of the motion picture industry. Los Angeles plays host to the annual Academy Awards and is the site of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the oldest film school in the United States. Sports The city of Los Angeles and its metropolitan area is the home of nine major league professional sports teams. These teams include the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Major League Baseball (MLB), the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL), the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL), the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS), and the Los Angeles Sparks. Dash Cam Tours - Driving Tour of VA & UCLA

56:04
This video tour was entirely filmed with: https://amzn.to/2Mu6K6z West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center is a hospital that serves veterans in Los Angeles, CA. It is a referral center for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The center is the largest facility in the VA health care system. History The medical facility, which sits on land donated by Arcadia Bandini de Stearns Baker in 1887, was previously known as the Sawtelle Veterans Home. In 2011 a group of homeless veterans sued the center, claiming that the VA was renting land in the center for commercial gain and ignoring the needs of homeless veterans for housing. In 2015, as part of the settlement of the 2011 lawsuit, the Department of Veterans Affairs released a draft master plan for the future of the campus. In 2016, the Department of Veterans Affairs announced a plan to add 1200 units of housing for homeless veterans to the hospital campus. UCLA The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university in the Westwood district of Los Angeles, United States. It became the Southern Branch of the University of California in 1919, making it the second-oldest undergraduate campus of the ten-campus University of California system.  It offers 337 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines.  UCLA enrolls about 31,000 undergraduate and 13,000 graduate students, and had 119,000 applicants for Fall 2016, including transfer applicants, the most applicants for any American university. Fraternities and sororities have been a part of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus since 1923. Today UCLA is home to more than 60 national and local Greek-letter organizations, six governing councils with approximately 4,000 students which represents 13% of the undergraduate student population. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) comprises 22 fraternities. The Panhellenic Association is made up of 17 sororities and over 4,000 women. Filming UCLA has attracted filming for decades with its proximity to Hollywood. Much of the film Gotcha!(1985) was shot at UCLA, as well as John Singleton's Higher Learning (1995).  Legally Blonde (2001), Old School (2003), The Nutty Professor (1995),  Erin Brockovich (2000), How High (2001),  National Lampoon's Van Wilder (2002),  American Pie 2 (2001), and Bring It On Again (2004) were all mainly shot around campus. In January 2009, the Bollywoodmovie My Name is Khan (2010) was shot at UCLA. UCLA is also often cast as Stanford in television shows such as The Mindy Project and Chuck. Some of the exterior shots of the fictional UC Sunnydale in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and ABC Family original series Greek were also filmed at UCLA. In response to the major demand for filming, UCLA has instated a policy to regulate filming and professional photography at the campus. "UCLA is located in Los Angeles, the same place as the American motion picture industry", said UCLA visiting professor of film and television Jonathan Kuntz. "So we're convenient for (almost) all of the movie companies, TV production companies, commercial companies and so on. We're right where the action is." Sports The school's sports teams are called the Bruins, with colors True Blue and gold. The Bruins participate in NCAA Division I as part of the Pac-12 Conference. Two notable sports facilities serve as home venues for UCLA sports. The Bruin men's football team plays home games at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena; the team won a national title in 1954. The basketball and volleyball teams, and the women's gymnastics team compete at Pauley Pavilion on campus. The school also sponsors cross country, soccer, women's rowing, golf, tennis, water polo, track and field, and women's softball. The mascots are Joe and Josephine Bruin, and the fight songs are Sons of Westwood and Mighty Bruins. The alma mater is Hail to the Hills of Westwood. Century City  is a 176-acre neighborhood and business district in Los Angeles County's Westside. Outside Downtown Los Angeles, Century City is one of the metropolitan area's most prominent employment centers, and its skyscrapers form a distinctive skyline on the Westside. Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, doing business as 20th Century Fox, is an American film studio currently owned by 21st Century Fox. It is one of the "Big Six" major American film studios and is located in the Century City area of Los Angeles, just west of Beverly Hills.  Creative Artists Agency LLC or CAA is an American talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles, California. It is regarded as a dominant and influential company in the talent agency business and manages numerous prestigious clients.  In March 2016, CAA had 1,800 employees. From Edison films catalog: Various equipages pass, including a tally-ho and six white horses. A peculiar, open-end trolley car comes along; bicycle riders and pedestrians Advertised as part of the "Southern Pacific Company Series" (Edison films catalog): The Southern Pacific Company ("Sunset Route") offers special inducements to winter travelers, by reason of its southern route, thereby avoiding the extreme cold of the winter months. Its course lies through a section of the country that presents a variety of beautiful and picturesque natural scenery. It is also the direct route to the popular resorts of Southern California, thereby making it a favorable route for tourists. The following subjects were taken by our artist while traveling over the very extensive lines of the Southern Pacific Railroad Co., to whom we are indebted for many courtesies, and without whose co-operation we should not have been able to bring before the public these animated photographs of interesting and novel scene

Do Los Angeles Film Schools Work?

03:12
http://www.filmconnection.com/school-locations/los-angeles If you are interested in attending film school in Los Angeles, the first thing you should ask yourself is "What am I trying to accomplish by going to film school?" If you answer this question with "I want to go to film school, graduate and then work in the film industry" you might want to re-think your decision to go to film school. Chances are, if you don't, you graduate with a diploma and a ton of student debt, neither of which will land you a job in the film industry. But not to worry, there's a better way: The Los Angeles Film Connection Film Institute is designed to give you the skills, tools and connections you'll need to find work in the film business. It does this by placing you as an apprentice in a top Los Angeles film production company where you'll learn the trade through both our structured course curriculum and the hands-on learning you'll receive in your duties as an apprentice. Additionally, since you are inside the door of a leading Los Angeles film production company you will meet dozens of film professionals: directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, screenwriters, and more. These connections with the pros are the key to your employment as they are, or they know of, the ones who do the hiring in the film business. So, who would you rather be: the traditional film school graduate with a diploma and a boat load of student debt; or the Film Connection graduate who has very little debt, hands on experience and lots of industry connections keeping their eyes out for employment opportunities?
