Me Gusta esa Vaina! Bob Dylan - New York, Radio City Music Hall (16th October 1988) [Full Concert, First Night]

01:28:12
Hello everyone, Another video for today, from 1988 and by request. This is the 68th concert the Never Ending Tour and the third of the Interstate 88 Tour (Part 3, East Coast Fall Tour). Also it marks the first show of a series of four in New York Radio City Music Hall. The tape come from LB-12972 and is a complete audience stereo recording. 1988 marked the beginning of a new era for Bob. For those who don't know, after a long period of creative disarray, Bob Dylan went back on the road in June 1988 with a completely new band, with unknown players. It began with G. E. Smith on guitar (known for leading the band on SNL), Kenny Aaronson on bass and Christopher Parker on drums. For Bob, it was his last chance on the road... If it didn't work, he'll stop writing music and playing all together. Bob and his Band started in state fairs and small clubs, long gone from the stadiums and arena rock that plagued Bob's talent and reputation, mostly unannounced. Bob didn't play the hits, changing the setlist as it goes, sometimes in the middle of the song, singing deep-cuts, covers, and old folk tunes. Every song was different one night from another. After more than 30 years, the Never Ending Tour didn't stop and Bob is still on a creative high. With the success of the early shows of the NET, Bob was back in New York City for a short residency at Radio City Music Hall. This first show is excellent throughout, with Bob thanking his audience all the way and also giving a few recommendations for Amnesty International on their choice of theme song for their Amnesty Tour. He praised them for picking I Shall Be Released and Chimes Of Freedom, and hope they could one day choose Jokerman as a theme song or even In The Garden. The new verse for With God On Our Side (written by the Neville Brothers) about the Vietnam War could also be a good pick, especially these days. The set is classic, and sums up the year very well. My highlights are Subterranean Homesick Blues, John Brown, Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again, Simple Twist Of Fate, Highway 61 Revisited, With God On Our Side, One Too Many Mornings, Wagoner's Lad, and The Times They Are A-Changin'. Hope you like it. Here is the setlist 1. Subterranean Homesick Blues 00:00 2. I'll Remember You 03:49 3. John Brown 08:22 4. Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again 13:51 5. Simple Twist Of Fate 20:49 6. Bob Dylan's 115th Dream 27:06 7. Highway 61 Revisited 31:57 8. Gates Of Eden 36:34 9. With God On Our Side 44:09 10. One Too Many Mornings 51:39 11. Silvio 56:49 12. In The Garden 1:00:46 13. Like A Rolling Stone 1:07:00 14. Wagoner's Lad (trad.) 1:13:34 15. The Times They Are A-Changin' 1:18:26 16. The Rockettes New York Spectacular - New York, New York - Radio City Music Hall. Closing number from of of the most amazing shows I've ever seen! ............................................. If you enjoyed video please smack a LIKE and SUBSCRIBE to my Channel. Thanks! The Rockettes are a precision dance company. Founded in 1925 in St. Louis, Missouri, since 1932 they have performed at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan, New York City. During the Christmas season, the Rockettes present five shows a day, seven days a week. Perhaps their best-known routine is an eye-high leg kick in perfect unison in a chorus line, which they include at the end of every performance. Their style of dance is a mixture of modern dance and classic ballet. Auditions to become a Rockette are always in April in New York City. Women who audition must show proficiency in several genres of dancing, mainly ballet, tap, modern, and jazz. Normally, 400 to 500 women audition yearly.

Bob Dylan - New York, Radio City Music Hall (19th October 1988) [Soundboard, Final Night]

01:34:10
Hello everyone, Last video for today, from 1988 and by request. This is the 71st concert the Never Ending Tour and the sixth and final of the Interstate 88 Tour (Part 3, East Coast Fall Tour). Also it ends the series of four shows in New York Radio City Music Hall. The tape comes from LB-12927 and is an incomplete stereo soundboard, completed using an audience stereo recording of unknown origin. 1988 marked the beginning of a new era for Bob. For those who don't know, after a long period of creative disarray, Bob Dylan went back on the road in June 1988 with a completely new band, with unknown players. It began with G. E. After more than 30 years, the Never Ending Tour didn't stop and Bob is still on a creative high. With the success of the early shows of the NET, Bob was back in New York City for a short residency at Radio City Music Hall. This is one of the best shows of the year, and perhaps of the NET. A tour de force from beginning to end, with one of the clearest sound I've heard, thanks to an amazing soundboard that surfaced only a year ago. The show is beautiful, from the rawness of Subterranean Homesick Blues, to the lyrical depth of With God On Our Side, with an added verse about the First World War. Bob and GE Smith are an amazing duo there, and deliver some of their strongest performances. I recommend you listen to the complete show, you won't be disappointed. I'm sure you will love it as much as I do. Here is the setlist 1. Subterranean Homesick Blues 00:00 2. I'll Remember You 03:44 3. John Brown 08:01 4.
