China Is Ranking Its Citizens - Big Brother is Watching You
Ryan Straight Up Playlist: goo.gl/mLq6oB
In the year 2020 China is rolling out a new "china credit score" or china credit system that is going to be ranking citizens!
This may sound like a piece out of "George Orwell 1984" novel! Or an episode of Black Mirror in real life! But This China Credit rating black mirror situation is one you should be concerned about!
Because China Ranking Citizens is a problem that sounds fictional but with reality setting in could pose issue around the world! with big brother watching you, the idea of privacy is gone! Censorship in china has been an issue for many years, but this takes it to a new level!
Basically each citizen will get a credit score between 350-950 and that will determine what you can do in society!
Think of this as your credit score in a credit system, ( a sort of social credit system of sorts) only it is the determining factor in what you can and cannot do in your life!!
What do you think? Is this too far?

Just terrifying, man. Even more terrifying is how easily people just "agree to it". I can see something like this try to creep its way to America one day soon. I just wonder if we'll try to stop it, or roll over and let it happen?
no, I didn't know that wow that's crazy, lol 2020 I think he would to
no, I couldn't live like that at all as its so scary and you won't be able to be yourself
huh, people are signing up to this? who cares about dating or going to eat food lol sweet deals indeed
i agree it doesn't do anything for us as a whole that's insane xx
Actually looking back at this video the 2nd time I realised that this idea China is implementing is a lot like what SHIELD / HYDRA tried to do during Captain America: The Winter Soldier!
Yeah there are probably some kind of incentives to sign up for this for sure, no one in the logical mind would do it without some kind of incentive.
It is a way to kill free speech. I agree with you. Plus China already owns most of the United States and other places behind the scenes. Some people just do not see it or do their digging LOL. Great video bro!
Hmm really interested video my man! Yeah I'm not a fan of the concept as it basically says if you kiss the governments ass you'll be fine. Again this is surpressing independent thinking and ideas which will ultimately affect things in a negative way... At least that's what I think!
Any sort of "social ranking system" is a method for the few to control the masses. Be careful, humans. Don't let any form of government tell you what to do. This is why REVOLUTION is important. We're ALL equal.
I don't really care all that much if people are watching me, however China is making it worse than it should be. I dont mind being watched but not if its gonna hurt me for just being me.
Also love the glasses
OH HELLZ NOOOOO!! I would pack my bags and move the heck out! That's way too controlling and not to mention there'd be no such thing as having a private life. Plus the punishments ... doesn't that in some way effect their human rights? I could be wrong but it's def. not something I could agree to ever. >:/ Also I never read that book either but if it's anything like what China's trying to do then I don't want to read it. lol
And when those laws constantly reduce your freedom and rights, using external measures to control and control every aspect of your life, perhaps then you will understand what you have lost and what many fought so hard for.
You've already lost so much such as cultural Marxism. And to think the CCP is capable of doing any good...
You should definitely read "Nineteen Eighty-Four". EVERYONE should read it. The thing people took away most from it, Big Brother, the idea of the surveillance state, is not actually the biggest thing they should take away. In what is seen as a "post-truth" world the crucial ideas in the book that should resonate are thought crime (something we see on social media a lot, the notion that people should punished or attacked for dissenting views), the destruction of language as a means to destroy independent thought (which we see in the reduction of important political ideas to slogans and sound-bites), the concept of perpetual war (as a means to strangle social mobility and keep the respective classes very much in their place), and the character of Emmanuel Goldstein (a shadowy figure of fear, who may not even exist, used to propagandise and terrify). Hands down one of the most important works of dystopian literature ever.
Actually, it's my favourite book. It's really a great one.
To be fair, if you ask anyone individually, they will all agree that the other should be kept surveilled (dunno if the word exists) and classified (with points with any other system), but they will not agree to be surveilled. :P
And you would be surprised how many people out there, in any country, do not have any critical thought whatsoever. They just do not care.
You hit the nail on the head there in the last part mate, its very intrusive and very selective. Dont they realise that 1984 and black mirror were books / programmes, not a *How To* manual.
Also little fact, im a distant cousin of John Hurt in the 1984 film
Great video pal, really glad to have you back.
Another great one, I fully believe that such a system would definitely hinder humanity as it is teaching to act/feel/live in a certain way. Creativity and free thinking would die asap and we would just become drones in the wheels of government hands. What progress is to be made with that? none that I can see.
Amazing as always!! I really love your content style! You really deserve more attention than what you have right now, You are amazing!! Your edits, Your content, your video, All of that is really awesome
great video as far as china ranking its people i can see a lot of issues with it kind of like our current credt system it actually puts you into different classes of citizens and in order to change your class you need to either screw up lol or jump through hoops and it is in my opinion evil ( sorry ranting a little working on buying a house and dealing with credit lol ) ;P
Great video Ryan :) I had to do an exam on something like this during my IT course. There are always pros and cons to something like this. As much of the meta data that is collected about you can be used for and against you. Especially when the AI system is the one making the judgement calls. The Chinese population will most likely get used to it at some point and forget they are being watched.
This is like that emma watson movie "circle". they may have good intention to do these tracking and stuff. and it will reduce crime. which is good. BUT. if we are to be tracked to the point where our privacy is invaded. i feel its gone too far. and our information that is collected. some are important stuff. how do we know will these information they collect will not be shared to third parties. and if it does. what next? we are the ones thats harmed.
and this whole thing feels like someone is being man handled. living to impress high organization rather than to have a respected life with freedom of speech.
my conclusion is. to have good intention is good. but if it reaches to the point invading personal information. it crosses the lines leading to many problems.
Never heard of that book....I unfortunately can't read.....Honestly though I always thought this was coming....Isn't this like Watch Dogs in real life? This would drive a lot of people crazy, and you are right this is almost like that episode of Black mirror the first season of season 3...I obviously would be 950 cuz well im just that amazing.
It is very sinister, The CCP is about maintaining power and control and has never cared about the people. In regards to your last comment the CCP is most certainly doing that and have done so for many years. They destroyed 5000 years of Chinese culture in order to replace traditional values and culture with it's own ideology and culture which permeates every aspect of society.
Since the CCP destroyed morality this is their latest external measure to try and make people behave, yet simultaneously further mold and control the people. Of course it won't work, further bad phenomena will arise, being an external measure rather than coming from a persons heart to be good.
I have read the book and seen the movie its good. I would not sign up for anything like this. I don't trust the government at all. The UK government are a joke. Its very sad to think that these idiots are in charge of anything.
What do I think? Well... Halo was surely a much better time spent that reading and, in my case, World of Warcraft :))
Also, China is only scaling up the 80s school system that we use since then... classroom grade method. So with a low China Ranking... well... you'll just gonna have to repeat the year :)
But yeah, on a more serious tone... dictatorships are freaky and Romania is going on the same path with the current politicians in power, just hope here the Populus and president have enough power to stop the insanity... as for China, the dictatorship is much more ingrained there and with a much lower chance of changing directions, unfortunately :(
DUDE! The ending to this video was chilling. One of the most interesting topics you've ever covered. It really is exactly like that Black Mirror episode manifesting into reality... I really do not see a benefit in this. People are already divided by so many different things like race, religion, looks, income, location; to put a label on people further divides people. I feel, like you eluded to, human progress cannot be made under these restrictive, incentivized- behavior times that this system may create.
