YouTube Supports Black History Month - The YouTube Elite
Ryan Straight Up Playlist: goo.gl/mLq6oB
YouTube supports elite! Not to long ago was Valentines day and YouTube tweeted a poem that sent off a youtube triggered reaction! And there was some YouTube Backlash
YouTube supports black history, and the black history deception is one that has been around for many years!
Each February we celebrate black history month, and black history month 2018 brought forth some thoughts...do we need black history month? The problem with black history month is that in a way that still creates a divide!
And this tweet form youtube that said "Subscribe to black creators" is only helping that issue of division! WE need to celebrate black history everywhere all the time!
Civil rights discussion should be something we talk about the time! And the youtube elite are holding us back from the youtube community that we know we can be! And the youtube community is toxic currently!
Support black history month but do it every month of the year, not the weakest one!
The truth about black history month is that it holds us back from celebrating black history 2018 all year long!
We should be the youtube elite, not have the youtube elite tell us what to do, or who to subscribe to!

Yes they completely overstepped. It was unnecessary to make the statement. Isn't it, in a way, insulting to black creators by YouTube telling people to subscribe to them based on their race and not the quality of their content? They could have named specific channels and highlighted them in that post, but chose not to. It's like segregating the melting pot of created content on YouTube and telling everyone which of it matters at that moment in time and which should be overlooked simply because a narrative is being pushed. I know I sure as hell wouldn't want someone subbing to me just because I'm a white dude. Shouldn't YouTube be encouraging ALL content creators to make good stuff and actually engage their audience? I don't give a crap if it was black history month. It's no excuse. Morgan Freeman said it best when he said "It's not black history. It's American history." Now my question to YouTube is this: When did you tell, publicly on your own platform, anyone to subscribe to strictly Asian, Hispanic or White creators for an entire month? Yeah...that's what I thought.
I think you should support whatever channel you like because of the content not the race or religion or anything other than content. I'm not gonna go sub all Hispanics just cause I'm Hispanic I'm gonna support whatever race that makes content I like! That's what I think!! Love your content!! 💖
Good job on this video, Ryan. I think it's bullshit to keep riding on the past like that. We learned from our mistakes, it's time to let go a little bit and focus on humanity as a whole, not the specific races.
Great video once again Ryan. I agree with all the statements on your video... or... people should just subscribe to just because I have brown skin and I have a combination between a Spanish and an Aussie accent. That is a real struggle!
surprised they tweeted something like that! Especially with all the backlash tons of companies have received for over the line marketing and advertisements! Feb is way too short a month and i definitely agree with the fact that in order for us to grow we gotta be inclusive with each other! Another good one! 👍🏽
well yeah those lines were little racist but it was for good or just to say, for feb
well, we cant hide from the truth by just hiding the words!
taking action to words is a dumb move.
action must be taken against actual discrimination.
people just like to be "A REAL NON RACIST" and just enter the battlefield when they read the word black.
great vid ryan😀
well am i the only one who is not following yt? 🤔
I didn't even know Youtube did this. Personally I'm not offended by it, it was just a silly and unnecessary thing to tweet if it was meant as anything other than a joke. It was meant as more than a joke, then this is the type of thing that passively keeps people divided 😕 great video Ryan, loving the new format
Hey it is a bit of a joke. It's just a ok to me. But Ryan, I have to say something. I have heard a rumour that you are actually black.
Is this true? I mean, you don't look very black, but you know, I also heard it was related to the skin pigmentation.
Was your real last name, Dolezal? lol
Racism is the stupidest thing to ever exist on this planet but as the great Morgan freeman once said "Just stop talking about it". We live in a world today that is full of the most sensitively butt hurt cry baby's I've ever seen If we could just leave the past in the past and start to look for a bright future then this world would become a much better place. Now don't get me wrong I don't feel that the pain and struggle should be forgotten but I certainly shouldn't be are biggest FUCKING concern. So people don't let what happened in past generations have a grasp on what people are like in our modern generation. Just live and try to make the world better than it was when you got here.
I would just like to say how I enjoy your videos, and your channel is growing so fast but it is all well deserved, you are a nice guy with a great channel which raises lots of debates and questions, keep up the amazing work
Oh Ryan ! Your to awesome, I couldn’t agree more about you saying we can’t talk about the difficulties the world has...instead we brush it under the carpet and wait to name a month for whatever the difficulties are... I guess after this February is over we’ll deal with racism next year
Hey, mate. I think you had some good and valid points here.
Youtube probably thought they did a great thing, but ones again they managed to f**k it up.
People should support the creators for what they do, not because of skin color, religion etc. If you like the content of a channel, support it.
Great topic and horrible sense of humour or idea from Youtube. This is a difficult subject all over the world so it can go both ways. Can be seen as racist or not depending on each persons view and stand point. But Martin Luther’s quote really sums up what it suppose to be like in a perfect world. This is such a great controversial topic that if this is posted on live feeds the comment would never stop pouring in. Great stuff Ryan
Why we have to put people in categories based on color I will never understand. Let people be people and don't judge a whole race based on one or more persons actions. Not all white people are racist and not all black people are criminals.
